Professional background

I am head of the Intellectual Property group at Fieldfisher and specialise in trade mark and design law.

I co-ordinate multi-jurisdictional trade mark clearance and protection projects in order to support businesses undertaking global brand launches or rebrands. I also act in trade mark and passing off disputes, often leading global co-existence negotiations. Where formal proceedings are necessary, I regularly appear as an advocate before the UK Intellectual Property Office and also represent parties before the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

I've worked with multinational brand owners in a wide range of fields including technology, life sciences, consumer goods and the services sectors.

I am qualified as a solicitor both in England & Wales and in the Republic of Ireland, as well as being a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.

I am a member of the International Trademark Association, where I sit on the Emerging Issues Committee, and the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
