I advise clients on challenging unlawful decisions by public bodies. I provide strategic commercially focused advice to support clients in achieving their objectives.

I also frequently advise regulators and other public bodies on the drafting, development, and application of rules and legislative frameworks. I am a current member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.

Recent work includes:

• Representing the UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) in a landmark judicial review case that reaffirms the TRA’s investigative approach and clarifies the scope of its legal obligations.
• Conducting an independent review for the government of an EU Member State intended to develop its system of judicial review, support improvements in the country's governance and strengthen the rule of law.
• Assisting an environmental charity in bringing a high profile judicial review claim against Defra in connection with its strategy to address sewage overflows.
• Acting for a group of public bodies in defending a judicial review claim regarding a public consultation.
• Developing a suite of new rules for a regulator to deal with registration and disciplinary processes in accordance with overlapping statutes governing legal regulation.
