Professional background

My main areas of practice
My advice covers the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts along the supply chain (purchasing, sales, logistics, production and distribution) as well as related legal issues of operational business, including Consumer Protection Law aspects.

A particular focus is on the (re)structuring of distribution systems (commercial agents, authorized dealers, franchising) as well as online trading and leasing. My sector focus is on the Automotive, Consumer Goods, Retail and Industrial Goods sectors.

As a Commercial lawyer with many years of experience in international commercial law firms, I have experience in drafting standard contracts/terms and conditions in both national and cross-border matters and I assist my clients in out-of-court disputes and, if necessary, support them in the transition to litigation.

Based on my experience from previous in-house secondments, I bring practical solutions to my advice in order to harmonize legal requirements and economic needs. I have advised various clients from the Automotive sector on market entry in Germany and Europe as well as on the restructuring of existing and the implementation of new business models. In addition, I frequently advise clients from various industries in connection with the termination of contractual relationships between distribution partners.

I advise my clients in German and English.

Personal engagement
I am a member of the German Association for Distribution Law (DGVR).

My background

I studied in Passau, Munich and Tours (France). During my studies abroad in France, I obtained the degree "Maitrîse en droit européen".

Before joining Fieldfisher, I worked as a Commercial lawyer in other international law firms.

OTA updates and their contractual pitfalls

08.02.2024
Over-the-air updates (OTA) are a central element of modern vehicle architectures. They enable software functions to be updated retrospectively, errors to be rectified, and new features to be activated – all without a visit to the workshop. However, this technical innovation comes with considerable legal challenges, particularly in contract law, product liability law, data protection, and IT law.
