Professional background

I have 7 years' experience as a trade, regulatory, public international and competition lawyer. I give practical advice to business and government, helping them navigate a post-Brexit world.

I spent 4 and a half years as a trade lawyer and negotiator for the UK Government- at the Department for International Trade and at HM Treasury. I have been involved in nearly all of the UK's international trade agreements following its exit from the European Union.

Prior to Government, I was involved in merger control transactions (media) and cartel investigations (banking, automotive) as a trainee at a City law firm.

I have a first class honours degree in law from the National Law School of India, Bangalore.

I volunteer for the Samaritans (UK's leading charity on suicide prevention) as a listener on their distress helpline.
