Corporate PPAs

A survey of the corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) market conducted by Fieldfisher found significant appetite among corporate buyers, renewable energy developers and finance providers to increase the volume of power supplied under these long-term contracts.

However, many in this sector are anxious to see further refinement and standardisation of corporate PPA deal structures and regulatory reform before PPAs become a mainstay of their corporate power sourcing strategies in Europe. These issues are not insurmountable, and with the right expertise and experience, corporate PPAs can be achieved efficiently, without incurring unnecessary costs or unpalatable risks.
