Extension of the deadline for submitting the Annual Packaging Declaration in 2025, mandatory under Royal Decree 1055/2022
With the aim of helping companies fulfil their obligations, the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has extended the deadline for the submission of the Annual Packaging Declaration, regulated by Royal Decree 1055/2022, of 27 December, on packaging and packaging waste.
The new deadline for submitting the Annual Packaging Declaration is 18 April 2025.
The companies obliged to comply with this requirement are all those defined as product producers in accordance with Royal Decree 1055/2022 that package, import and purchase packaged products for sale on the Spanish market.
The European Commission presents the Preparedness Union Strategy
Last Wednesday, the European Commission presented the Preparedness Union Strategy, a document containing 30 key objectives to support Member States and improve Europe's capacity to prevent and respond to threats.
In addition, this Strategy includes a detailed Action Plan with specific dates, setting out 63 points to advance the EU's objectives.
