We are delighted that Associate Krysteen Ormond and Director Laura Taylor have been included in The Lawyer Hot 100 for 2025.

This annual list highlights a diverse mix of 100 UK-based lawyers who have stood out over the past 12 months and notes the impact of their work on the legal market.

Krysteen features on the list as only the second Falkland Islander to qualify as a lawyer and the first to stand before the General Court of the European Union. She was admitted as a Justice of the Peace at just 24 and has exemplified leadership from an early age, serving as a Committee Member for the Young Commonwealth Lawyers Association, while also actively contributing to Fieldfisher's pro bono initiatives.

Her legal work is equally as impressive, having been involved in various high-stakes disputes, including advising a national government in a $3 billion telecoms arbitration, representing a Cypriot investment vehicle in a contractual dispute over COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing and representing the ENRC on the longest-running SFO investigation in its history.

Laura Taylor is a standout figure in the field of public inquiries and inquests, most notably leading the high-profile Module 2 of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry. Her work has been at the centre of the Inquiry’s examination of the UK government’s response and decision-making during the pandemic. This critical module heard evidence from key figures such as Boris Johnson and other senior political leaders, with the hearings gaining widespread public and media attention.

This follows last year's Hot 100 list, which featured the firm's Birmingham Office Leader, Ranjit Dhindsa

Congratulations to Krysteen and Laura on this very well-deserved achievement.
