Professional background

I specialise in complex litigation, assisting clients in a broad range of sectors including food & beverage, manufacturing, engineering, finance and energy.

I have particular expertise in contractual disputes (in particular breach of contract claims relating to manufacturing), fraud and shareholder disputes as well as specialist competition litigation. I have experience of litigating disputes in the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Competition Appeal Tribunal. I regularly deal with claims that have a cross-border element, with recent cases involving parties across Europe, as well as in India and the USA.

I am a member of the Fieldfisher competition team which was named Competition Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards in 2022.

My recent experience includes:

  • acting for a large claimant company in the ongoing Truck Cartel litigation in the Competition Appeal Tribunal, which includes dealing with highly complex expert and factual evidence. This case presents novel and challenging case management issues, given the number of claimants in the litigation.
  • acting for a large manufacturing business on related shareholder, family and property disputes arising from the reorganisation of the family business, including successfully defending a claim at trial in relation to a tax indemnity.
  • obtaining summary judgment in excess of $60 million for a banking client following a default by the borrowers.
