My cases often involve allegations of fraud and require me to either seek or oppose the grant of urgent injunctions. As an example, I have successfully defended former company directors in an action brought by liquidators alleging fraud and breach of statutory and fiduciary duties, which included setting aside a High Court order freezing their assets.
Reflecting my interest in and extensive experience of fraud cases, I have spoken on the subject, including to over 120 delegates of STEP in Guernsey.
For several years I have been recommended for my expertise in both commercial and financial services litigation by the Legal 500. The 2014 edition described me as showing “good commercial judgment”, for being “excellent” and a “real quality lawyer”. In 2015, I was praised for being “head and shoulders above the competition” and my service times were described as “exemplary”. In the 2016 edition, I am described as “outstanding” and “very pragmatic”.
I am also qualified to act as a supervising solicitor where searches take place under court order.
When not at work or carrying out essential household DIY, I spend (I am told) far too much time fly-fishing.
