Professional background

In 2021, I obtained a master's degree in private and employment law at the University of Groningen. During my studies, I worked as a clerk at the Court of Appeal in Leeuwarden. I also gained experience at different law firms as a legal intern and worked as a research intern for the procedural law department of my university. In addition, I represented the Netherlands during an international moot court competition. I was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2022.

I am an advocate employed by Fieldfisher, which means that I only act for Fieldfisher. I have registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Contract Law (Verbintenissenrecht) and Civil Procedure (Burgerlijk procesrecht) as principal areas, with Litigation as a secondary practice area under Civil Procedure. Based on this registration, I am required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
