Professional background

With more than seventeen years of experience as a civil and commercial law practitioner, I have developed a strong track record in mergers and acquisitions and complex joint ventures, advising international investors — mainly private equity funds and multinationals — as well as family businesses on acquisition, merger, restructuring, financing and insolvency transactions. My expertise also spans a wide range of sectors, including automotive, engineering, transport, food and healthcare, as well as heavy industry, paper, media and energy.

In recent years, I have been recognised by Chambers Europe’s Lawyers Directory as an “Outstanding M&A lawyer in the Spanish market,” and I received the 40 Lawyers Under 40 Award in 2017 for my distinguished contribution to the Spanish legal profession. These recognitions reflect the meticulous work carried out together with my team and clients in every M&A transaction, strengthening my confidence and expertise in delivering work of the highest calibre.

I also serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors of several multinational companies, accompanying investors throughout the full negotiation cycle up to completion and exit. I have advised international funds on multiple acquisitions of subsidiaries in Spain and subsequently on their restructuring and successful sale.

I began my professional career at several international law firms, including Cuatrecasas — where I was part of the French Desk — and Clifford Chance, where I worked in the Private Equity team. Before joining Fieldfisher as Director of the Madrid office, I was a founding partner of the M&A and litigation boutique GMQ.

Academically, I studied at the Complutense University of Madrid and hold a Master’s Degree in Business Law from its School of Legal Practice. I have lectured on the Master’s in Legal Consultancy at ICADE and taught commercial law in practicum courses for final-year students. I have also taught on the Master’s in Legal Advice at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Thanks to my linguistic versatility, I am able to advise clients in English, French and Spanish.
