European law firm Fieldfisher has provided comprehensive legal advice to Sweden-based Micropower Group AB on its acquisition of German mobile power specialist LEAB Automotive GmbH. The transaction, which strengthens Micropower's position in the electrification and mobile energy solutions market, involved full-service legal support across corporate, regulatory, employment, tax, intellectual property, and real estate matters.

With this transaction, Micropower transforms a trusted distribution partnership of over 25 years into a fully integrated group structure. The acquisition supports Micropower's strategic objective to expand its technological capabilities and strengthen its position in the electrification market. By integrating LEAB into the group, Micropower enhances its ability to deliver system-based power solutions for complex vehicle applications – particularly in emergency services, utility, and industrial transportation sectors.

Micropower Group, headquartered in Växjö, Sweden, is a leading European manufacturer of battery systems, power supplies, and charging solutions for industrial use. With production and logistics sites in Sweden, Finland, and the United States, the company delivers more than 1.2 million units annually.

LEAB Automotive, located in northern Germany, specialises in customised mobile power systems and is recognised across Europe for its engineering expertise and customer-oriented solutions.

Fieldfisher provided comprehensive legal support to Micropower throughout the transaction. A cross-practice team led by Corporate Partner Dr Sven Labudda and Counsel Dr Johannes Knop advised on all legal aspects, including corporate law, regulatory matters, employment, tax, intellectual property, and real estate.

Micropower was additionally advised in Sweden by Setterwalls Advokatbyrå. The transaction successfully closed in June 2025.
