Alison Donaldson

During my career I have obtained extensive derivatives experience in the investment banking industry, working as derivatives counsel both in the UK and Asia for a number of leading global investment banks and advising on a wide range of derivative and equity derivative products and transactions, in addition to supporting the futures business in the Asia Pacific Region.

I was appointed Director and Head of Legal for South-East Asia for Merrill Lynch, gaining important insight into the Asian financial markets. I also have significant experience of fund management, having worked as General Counsel to a fund manager on my return to the UK from Asia.

I established the alternative legal services provider Donaldson Legal Consulting in 2005, the first of its kind, and joined with Fieldfisher in 2017 in order to further develop the delivery of outsourced legal managed services.

I am admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales, the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland and as a solicitor in Hong Kong.
