Professional background

I have over 10 years' experience advising developer, employer, contractor and sub-contractor clients on construction, engineering and outsourcing disputes. I am a specialist in handling all forms of construction dispute resolution through processes such as litigation, adjudication and mediation, as well as dispute avoidance. I am well versed advising on a wide range of construction issues including defects, final account, delay and loss and expense claims. 
 
I have been involved in several high value multi-party disputes in the Technology and Construction Court achieving, successful outcomes for the client in each including most recently Blackpool Borough Council v Volkerfitzpatrick Limited [2020] EWHC 1523 (TCC) and previously securing a 98% recovery in a claim arising from glazing failures caused by nickel sulphide inclusions at the former Stock Exchange building, 125 Old Broad Street.
 
I have extensive experience providing strategic project support in relation to major construction and infrastructure projects across the range of standard form and bespoke contracts providing commercial and legal advice to achieve cost effective solutions.
