Prior to my return to private practice with Fieldfisher, I held several in-house legal positions with tier one contractors and developers.

My experience includes:

- advising a contractor in respect of the negotiation and drafting of a bespoke pre-construction services agreement and amended JCT D&B building contract for the design and build of a sub-sea cabling facility.

- on behalf of a contractor, negotiating and drafting amendments to the FIDIC Red Book for use in respect of the design and build of several large data centres in Europe.

- leading negotiations for a contractor client in respect of a bespoke pre-construction services agreement and amended NEC building contract for the design and construction of a hi-tech pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

- negotiating, drafting amendments to and advising in respect of amended JCT D&B & JCT SBC building contracts for some of the largest "cut and carve" refurbishment and fit-out projects in the UK, including providing advice in respect of the often complex insurance arrangements associated with such projects.

- negotiating bespoke framework agreements and building contracts on behalf of contractors dealing with mature developer and international clients.

- managing both upstream and downstream referrals to adjudication in respect of claims for loss & expense, extensions of time and defects.

- managing both insured and non-insured litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.
