European law firm Fieldfisher has provided comprehensive legal advice to Scandinavia's leading camping organisation, First Camp, on the acquisition of Via Claudia Camping Company Limited and the campsite it operates in Lechbruck am See in Bavaria. The transaction marks First Camp's entry into the German market and continues its expansion in Europe.

First Camp, the largest operator of campsites in Northern Europe is expanding its market presence to five countries with the acquisition: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and now Germany – Europe's largest camping market.

With the campsite acquired as part of the transaction, located in the immediate vicinity of the Alps, First Camp is expanding the group's existing portfolio to 75 destinations with over 16,000 pitches.

The target company was acquired through FC Husky HoldCo AB (publ), a sister company of First Camp Group AB.

Fieldfisher provided comprehensive legal advice to First Camp throughout the transaction. A cross-practice team led by corporate partner Dr. Sven Labudda and counsel Dr. Johannes Knop advised on all legal aspects, including corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, data protection, real estate law, public law, tax law, and regulatory and commercial issues.

With this cross-border transaction, Fieldfisher, led by Dr. Sven Labudda and Dr. Johannes Knop, once again shows its expertise as a strong partner for Scandinavian clients investing in Germany.

The transaction was successfully completed at the end of June 2025.
