Why choose our Transformation Lawyers?

Our driving aim is to form long-term strategic relationships with our clients. We aim to become trusted partners for all your People issues and we recognise that transformation projects sit at the heart of your People strategies, but also that they come with unique pressures for in-house HR and legal teams as well as business leads. We pride ourselves on providing a responsive service that is flexible to your needs (whether you are looking for us to take the lead on managing your project, or whether you are looking for a sounding board) and contribute our depth and breadth of experience to allow you to progress projects with confidence.

Transformation projects are business-critical and often pressured processes. We bring a pragmatic, commercial and sensitive approach to our advice and work closely with you to ensure processes run smoothly and your commercial objectives are front and centre.

Our experience spans a broad range of sectors, including technology, financial and professional services, energy and infrastructure and construction. The breadth of our sector experience helps us to speak your language and get to the heart of your commercial objectives very quickly.

We regularly support transformation projects at a global level, with specialist employment lawyers in all major European jurisdictions and close relationships with "best friend" firms globally. For international transformation projects, we provide one point of contact, with a fully integrated, seamless service. Our close working relationship with European colleagues and global partners is invaluable, allowing us to deliver unified strategic advice to meet your commercial aims, rather than disjointed "how to" guides for different jurisdictions.

We work in partnership with in-house legal and HR teams and/or directly with business leads to provide strategic People advice in connection with change processes and ensure successful project delivery. Areas we regularly advise on include:

  • Organisational restructures and reductions in force. These range from single-jurisdiction individual and collective exercises to international projects. Whatever size your project, we work with you to deliver pragmatic, stream-lined strategies and support clean and sensitive implementation.
  • Sourcing projects, including supply chain management and business function outsourcing, from small-scale staff transfers to strategic international projects. We accompany these processes closely from bid stage through to completion to ensure effective cost and risk management in connection with staff transfers and supportive process management at a People level. We advise both on the customer- and the supply-side, so we are uniquely placed to advise on market practice as well as bringing innovative commercial solutions to negotiations.
  • Alternative ways of working. Flexible working is increasingly becoming the norm, with new working models (and new challenges) emerging as a result. From advising on 4-day working week pilots to helping make hybrid working work for you, we provide innovative strategic advice at the cutting edge of developing practice.
